12/22/08 Winter in Dolores and heavy snowfall gives us a white Xmas. Snowfall is allready over normal and we still have 4 month to go before spring is knocking on the door. Sadly the German Restaurant across the street closed it's doors for good. We will all miss our monthly indulgance of Der Wienrschnitzels unt Apfelstrudels. All of us here at Dolores Mountain Inn wish to thank you all for staying with us and all the best for the Holidays. We very much appreciate your business and will do our best to give you good reasons to come back again and again.

01/03/09 A new restaurant is now open. It is a trailer type with only take out but offer wonderful Cajun cooking. Its name is Jambalaya and is located corner of Railroad Ave and 7th street. Next time you are in town you have to try it. The Naked Moose restaurant will open again early spring. Dolores General Store is for sale and is offered for a very good price. Its an excellent opportunity for some one wantiing to run a business with lots of potentials for growth. It seems like the national economic conditions have by passed Dolores where all business reporting better than average sales for 2008 and the holidays. New construction have not changed and all Contractors seems to be busy. Real Estate prices still very reasonable for our area where you can still find larger lots for sale
