Hiking to Sharks Tooth Pass is quite easy even though the last 300 feet to reach the very peak is quite demanding since you have to fight your way up a very steep incline in loose gravel/rock material. Most hikers don't bother. The reward you get by just reaching the pass is quite impressive. On a clear day you can see for 100 miles. |

|
| The hike to the pass is quite short and mostly takes place in deep forest. There is good chance to see either Bear, Elk or Deer. |

| You will leave the trees behind when passing the 11,000 feet level. The rest of the hike takes place in not so steep switch backs in beautiful meadows with lots of wild flowers. |

The unexperienced hiker can do the complete hike in perhaps 4 hours. When reaching the summit or the pass you will see a beautiful view down on the other side facing north towards Bear Creek Canyon. This hike can be done in half a day including the drive. |
