A 15 minutes drive brings you to the entrance of Mesa Verde National Park. The park area is rather large and covers thousands of acres. The platue is at 7,000 feet and over looks all of the valley below. |

Within the park there are many different ruin sites to explore but here we will concentrate on the "Spruce Tree house". |
|
A 30 minutes drive from the Park Entrance will bring you to the Museum. The Museum exhibits artifacts and in depth information about the ancient culture. Every 2 hours the theater will entertain you with a short film. |

| The paved hiking trail starts adjacent to the Museum. Looking down you can clearly see the ruins in the distance. |
|
The hiking trail gently slopes down on a paved trail suiteable for wheel chairs. Within 1/2 a mile you will be close to the ruins. A park ranger is always there to inform and entertain. Stay for a while and enjoy exploring and admire the ancient ways. |

Temperatures in the canyons can reach 100 degrees so bring plenty of water. |
